AA Thought for the Day

When we retire at night, we constructively review our day. Were we
resentful, selfish, dishonest or afraid? Do we owe an apology? . . . .
What could we have done better? . . .
After making our review we ask God’s forgiveness and inquire what
corrective measures should be taken.

Susan here, very grateful recovered alcoholic by Gods Grace. Over time it has come to me that, I am unable to "fix" me and steps 6 and 7 are needed in order to change. Only God has the Power to make that happen. On my own power, I am doomed to always repeat the same old crap. And also, I learned that for me, I do not need to forgive myself...that is also not my job, so I leave that up to God. I believe that, If I continue to stay connected, grow and change and most importantly stop doing all the crappy things i used to do, God forgives me. For this, I am blessed and humbled.
