AA Thought for the Day

This is perhaps difficult—especially discussing our defects with another person.
We think we have done well enough in admitting these things to ourselves.
There is doubt about that. In actual practice, we usually find a solitary
self-appraisal insufficient. Many of us thought it necessary to go much further.

Thought to Ponder
We need to share our problems to find our solutions.

Pammy and I have alcoholism. I love this step. My sponsor refers to it as taking out the trash. All the things that kept me down and hidden from living were gathered up and being binned. It no longer had the power to keep me down because I no longer owned it. It can come back though if I don't keep my side of the street cleaned, so I have to always be on my toes. Learn when to step up and learn to stay silent. It's a new way to meet the future without the past there to beat me back down. Thank you.
