AA Thought for the Day

We have admitted certain defects; we have ascertained in a rough way what
the trouble is; we have put our finger on the weak items in our personal inventory.
Now these are about to be cast out. This requires action on our part, which,
when completed, will mean that we have admitted to God, to ourselves, and
to another human being, the exact nature of our defects.

Ravi, alcoholic. Moments back I walked away from the screen thinking to myself I had nothing to add. I was wrong...here are the thoughts that came to mind. The purpose of the steps, among other things, is to put an estranged alcoholic back in touch with God and Society. Reason I got separated from God and Society was my behavior, my arrogance, not to mention drinking. In the 5th step I am given another chance to join God and Society on a humble basis. Who would have thought that my errors were the way toward recovery! Thanks.
