"Gratitude should go forward, rather than backward.
In other words, if you carry the message to still others, you will
be making the best possible repayment for the help given to you."
- As Bill Sees It, p. 29
Thought to Ponder
Grateful is a feeling. Gratitude is an action.

I am an alcoholic, my name is Geoff. Grateful to AA for being sober today. An attitude of Gratitude had to learned as I was so selfish and self centered when I was out there drinking. This guy always says at meetings, "Happy people are Grateful People and those that aren't, aren't." I am grateful that the craving to drink left me many years ago. I am so grateful for the ability to do service in AA. For Service equals Love in Action. Lastly, I am so grateful for the AA pamphlet "Many Paths to Spirituality" which only came out in 2014. My program has changed completely in the last three years. After 27 years of saying Let Go Let God, I now only say Let Go. The most spiritual thing I will ever do is not take the first drink. Thanks for all being here today.
