A Better Way
Perhaps there is a better way—we think so. For we are now
on a different basis; the basis of trusting and relying upon God.
We trust infinite God rather than our finite selves. We are in
the world to play the role He assigns. Just to the extent that
we do as we think He would have us, and humbly rely on Him,
does He enable us to match calamity with serenity.

Thought to Ponder
AA is not something we join; it's a way of life.

I’m Clair, I’m an alcoholic. Chapter 3 is my favorite part of the big book. I found myself in those pages after someone gave me a big book and told me to read it. The part that scared me the most was where it says commencing to drink after period of sobriety we are in a short time as bad as ever. I am an alcoholic. I cannot drink safely no matter what I think. The book says I have a physical allergy and a spiritual malady. I have to rely on a higher power if I want to stay sober. I do this each day, ask my higher power to help me stay sober and God gives me what I need to get through it. I worked my steps with a sponsor and my life got better. I hope you all hear something today if you’re new that will keep you coming back and want to try this program. Alcoholics Anonymous is a design for living. Thank you for letting me share.
