Our Twelfth Suggestion
Practical experience shows that nothing will so much insure
immunity from drinking as intensive work with other alcoholics.
It works when other activities fail. This is our twelfth suggestion:
Carry this message to other alcoholics! You can help when no one
else can. You can secure their confidence when others fail.
- Alcoholics Anonymous, (Working With Others) p. 89

Thought to Ponder

Morning all, so awesome to be here. Welcome to anyone new. Susan, very grateful recovered alcoholic by God's Grace. I was reminded this morning again of a plaque that I have on my bedroom wall. It says, God never asks about our ability or our inability but about our availability. I love that. I have yet to ever keep a single alcoholic sober but I have sat many times with one and invited God in. And several have remained sober and changed miraculously simply by following some specific instructions in our BB. It is a miracle to witness and man oh man does it increase my faith as a by-product. If I were to have a major regret in AA (which I am not hung up on today,) it would be that at one time I tried to pass on My Program which somehow just didn't seem to produce the same results as following our Divinely written BB. Love this deal and love sitting with a fellow alkie. Blessings to all in your journey.
