Thy Will
What we really have is a daily reprieve contingent on the maintenance of our
spiritual condition. Every day is a day when we must carry the vision of God’s
will into all of our activities. “How can I best serve Thee—Thy will (not mine)
be done.’’ These are thoughts which must go with us constantly.

Hello everyone. Liz, grateful alcoholic. When growing up I believed in God. But my family did not practice religion except on Easter and Christmas. So I didn't have any preconceived notions of God or any bad experiences. I didn't realize about self-reliance until coming into this program. It's still a bit confusing to me. I know I didn't do well trying to manage my life by myself and I have done a lot better since doing our steps in this program. I can get confused because I think I'm not supposed to rely on others such as family or friends in life. But I can always turn to God. Thanks.
