Let us make haste to reassure you. We found that as soon as we
were able to lay aside prejudice and express even a willingness
to believe in a Power greater than ourselves, we commenced to
get results, even though it was impossible for any of us to fully
define or comprehend that Power, which is God.

Hi all, my name is Nadja and I am a grateful, recovered alcoholic. I love the topic, prayer. When I first started this journey and people where telling me about God, I thought, nah, do not need that part. I will do it without God. (laugh) I was wrong, as in many things. How could one truly surrender to anything if it is not God? So I thought I'd give it a try after all. I started praying in the morning, on my knees in the living room. The 3th step prayer each and every day. The dog liked it very much (laugh) I did not see what it would do for me me yet. But I kept going. And the strange thing is, from a certain point it just started to work. It helped me stay in the peace, serenity feeling the moment I started my day. And the more I practised, the more I started to trust on God in my life. In small situations, in bigger ones. And every time I thanked Him for how it went. If it went good or bad, I thanked Him. To me that is prayer also. And I started building and building more on that trust. Today I cannot do without being in "touch" with God through all the day. And where it was an effort at start it is now something that has become more habitual. I always notice when I am loosing touch. I get more restless and more angry or scared. The moment I become aware of that I know what to do now. Get back to who I truly am. Connect with God. Could not be more grateful. Thank you so much for letting me share. Love you all.
