Three Pertinent Ideas
Our description of the alcoholic, the chapter to the agnostic, and our
personal adventures before and after make clear three pertinent ideas:
(a) That we were alcoholic and could not manage our own lives.
(b) That probably no human power could have relieved our alcoholism.
(c) That God could and would if He were sought.

- Alcoholics Anonymous, (How It Works) p. 60

Thought to Ponder
I can't, God can, I'll ask Him to.

Hello family. I'm Clair, a grateful, recovered alcoholic. Never thought I could make it past a week without drinking. Always day number 3 and there I was again. I got to this program by a number of events that God put together. I never would have thought this one out. But I am reminded daily who is in charge. When I get up in the morning I tell Him, "Thank you." I love those A, B, C's, they keep it simple for me. I am an alcoholic and always will be. Not one human, book, club, exercise, doctor could get me sober. And when I reached out and cried, God please help me, He did. That is how my experience has been. Pain, suffering, surrender. Thanks family, glad we all are here.
