We went back through our lives.
Nothing counted but thoroughness and honesty.
When we were finished we considered it carefully.

Hi everyone. Craig, another alcoholic. Step one reminds me I'm powerless. Meaning over people, places and things. The AA Big Book says some have emotional and mental disorders. It also says that many do recover if they have the capacity to be honest. I will be honest, I'm mentally ill. I have been for many years now. But with a sponsor, the program and you all, I'm a recovered alcoholic today. A happy one too at that. Honesty. I finally got honest a couple years ago and worked the steps honestly for a change and something happened. I had a sincere spiritual awakening as the the Big Book describes that is needed for recovery. I'm approaching 2 years in July of continuous sobriety. Thanks to AA, my sponsor and you all. Thanks everyone, God Bless.
