Forgiveness
This vital Step was also the means by which we began to get the
feeling that we could be forgiven, no matter what we had thought
or done. Often it was while working on this Step with our sponsors
or spiritual advisers that we first felt truly able to forgive others,
no matter how deeply we felt they had wronged us.

Thought to Ponder
To be forgiven we must forgive.

Hello Family, Lance here, alcoholic. Forgiveness isn't kind of pie in the sky, its an active effort on our part to effect change. God knows the hardest to forgive is myself. I find myself my severest critic at times. When I was drinking it was very easy to just blame others. Some years ago, I read an article in a magazine about a woman who had a horrible competitor in her field. This man didn't want to hurt her business, he wanted to destroy her completely. She said she spent 2 years praying for this man, to have a softer heart and she kept forgiving him his ignorance. Eventually this man turned around, and he became a real colleague to the woman. Prayer works, forgiveness is about the best thing we could do for another person. Thanks for letting me share. I am very happy to be here, learning.
