Faith
We never apologize to anyone for depending upon our Creator.
We can laugh at those who think spirituality is the way of weakness.
Paradoxically, it is the way of strength.

- Alcoholics Anonymous, p. 68

Thought to Ponder . . .
Faith dares the soul to go beyond what the eyes can see.

Hi Family, I am Mike, an alcoholic. I think most people have faith, just maybe not in the right thing. Most of us are sitting right now. Well, we wouldn't be if we didn't have faith that the chair would hold us up. That’s how my lessons on faith started. I had to have faith in something greater than alcohol, and AA told me that probably no human power could relieve my alcoholism -- and it couldn't. So I had to put faith in the Creator of the Universe. It wasn't hard for me to do. I've never seen a book explain how that Creator hung stars in the sky. I've seen a lot of other books, though, and the one that helped me most is our very own Big Book. My favorite part on faith is on page 68: “We never apologize to anyone for depending upon our Creator. We can laugh at those who think spirituality the way of weakness.” I love that Chapter, and it’s true. I love to play in my Creator’s ocean and ride the waves. My faith in Him has kept me fairly safe so far, and if it doesn't one day, that’s OK also. I have faith that His plans for me are bigger than I can fathom. So I love faith. Fear knocks, faith answers, nobody is home. Thank you.
