Gratitude
I try to hold fast to the truth that a full and thankful heart
cannot entertain great conceits.
When brimming with gratitude, one's heartbeat
must surely result in outgoing love,
the finest emotion that we can never know.

Hi all, l am Kevin, a grateful alcoholic. All the shares tonight have been so inspirational. l had a really bad day yesterday. l am always grateful for the good days, but you people made me look at why l am grateful for the bad. Yes, l was full of negativity on the bad days, but that is just my disease talking -- cunning, baffling, and powerful! Small things made me crazy. But l am grateful to have found the cure: this program and the fellowship. You see, now the bad days make me grateful because it makes me work my program just that much more. If l didn't have days like that l might just become complacent, and we all know where that will end up. So l am truly grateful for the program/cure that was so freely given to me, the fellowship that comes with it, and a new and better relationship with my Higher Power. Thanks for letting me share.
