Daily Plan
On awakening let us think about the twenty-four hours ahead.
We consider our plans for the day.  Before we begin, we ask God to direct our thinking,
especially asking that it be divorced from self-pity, dishonest or self-seeking motives.
Under these conditions we can employ our mental faculties with assurance,
for after all God gave us brains to use.
Our thought-life will be placed on a much higher plane
when our thinking is cleared of wrong motives.

Thought to Ponder . . .
Prayer asks the question.  Meditation listens for the answer.

AA-related 'Alconym' . . .

Good morning everyone, my name is Michael and I am an alcoholic.  In my faith tradition, I actually borrow from many.  It's called "Monkey Mind" -- my brain swinging from tree to tree.  I wake in the morning and I journal.  I have a dynamic relationship with the God of my understanding.  I pray for insight and what to do this day.  I make my list and ask for the power to carry out God's will.  At night, I thank Him.  And that is when I do formal "sitting" and my mind stills in the now -- rather beautiful.  My life has gotten so much slower because of the Eleventh Step.  And what an awakening to realize that God is here and in the now and everything is ok.  That's just how it is.  Thank you.
