No Regrets
The spiritual life is not a theory. We have to live it. . .
If we are painstaking about this phase of our development, we will be amazed before we are half way through.
We are going to know a new freedom and a new happiness.
We will not regret the past nor wish to shut the door on it.
- Alcoholics Anonymous, p. 83
Thought to Ponder . . .
Fear not for the future, weep not for the past.

Hi, I'm David, and an alcoholic. Do I need to regret something that brought me in touch with a Higher Power and a way of life that is making me a better person? I did for a while though, until some spirituality started creeping into me. And slowly, my past became just that: my past. It took all of what I did, went through, and eventually learned from, to get to this exact spot. Having a God of my understanding, and an understanding God, has enabled me to have a much fuller life. I accept now what I was, and rejoice in what I am now. These Steps, meetings, a Higher Power, and AA have given me a key to a whole new door to living. Thanks.
