Perspective
Until I could honesty look at myself and see that I was the problem in many situations and react appropriately inside and out;
until I could discard my expectations and understand that my serenity was directionally proportional to them,
I could not experience serenity and sound sobriety.

- Daily Reflections,p. 71

Thought to Ponder . . .
My perspective will change my perception.  My perception will change my experience.  My experience is my life.

AA-related 'Alconym' . . .
A A = Attitude Adjustment.

I'm Dotti, an alcoholic.  Good topic.  I'm surprised we don't discuss it more often.  I think most of us had a pretty skewed perspective on how the world worked and how we behaved.  I have found quite recently that when I have a resentment to someone else's behavior, I can talk, pray, or whatever.  But nothing works until I accept that that person's behavior is what it is.  They may be dead wrong, they may be doing something illegal, but the great "I Am" cannot change it.  I have to accept that it is.  They have a very different perspective than mine, but it is what it is.  I no longer need to keep saying, "But, but, but."  My perspective is beside the point.  He has a different one.  It’s a difficult lesson.  Thanks for all the teaching and support in here.
