Stubbornness
It is from our twisted relationships with family, friends, and society at large
that many of us have suffered the most.
We have been especially stupid and stubborn about them. . .
We have not once sought to be one in a family.

Hi Everyone, I am Tim an alcoholic.  Before I got to AA I was a drunken stubborn @$$.  Everything had to be my way.  But during the Steps I found my God.  I got to wipe my slate clean from all the baggage I carried from my past.  Today, I am sober and blessed and do my best to live my God's will and not mine.  But I am human.  There are days when that stubborn @$$ can show, but now it is a sober stubborn @$$.  So sometimes I have to just stand back and take a minute and think about the situation.  I stay in contact with my God daily.  And every night I try and make amends and ask for forgiveness for any wrongdoing I did during the day.  It keeps me from building up the baggage I carried for so many years.  I do my best to live His Will and not mine.  Today I am blessed because I look for the kinder way to address people and help where I can, but I still take a daily inventory of my actions and take them to my God daily.  Thanks.
