A New Life

Is sobriety all that we are to expect of a spiritual awakening? No, sobriety
is only a bare beginning; it is only the first gift of the first awakening.
If more gifts are to be received, our awakening has to go on.
- As Bill Sees It, p 8

Thought to Ponder . . .
Sobriety is not a destination, but an everlasting journey.

AA-related 'Alconym' . . .

My name is Daniel and I am an alcoholic.  Some of my share is recycled, my best material in my opinion. LOL  I like the concept of the building of a house in my journey.  Brick by brick I am building my safe home of sobriety.  Steps of Desperation 1-3. I finally realized my foundation was crumbling all around me.  Drinking wasn’t normal; insanity reigned; life unmanageable.  Steps of Perspiration 4-9  The real work began and continues following the blueprint of AA; suggestions, meetings, sponsor, helping others, prayer and meditation, rigorous honesty.  Just follow the blueprint, the 12 steps, the cornerstone in place, my HP.  Steps of Inspiration 10-12.  Applying and using my tools to keep my home in best repair, clean, happy, joyous and free.  Remodeling  and renewing every 24 hours; make my home a safe place, my reinventing myself.  Doing the next right thing.  Progress not perfection…I can always be better man.  "It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, it’s a new life for me feeling good!" (by Nina Simone)  Thank you for letting me share and helping me stay sober one more day.
