Honest and Willing
RARELY HAVE we seen a person fail who has thoroughly followed our path.
Those who do not recover are people who cannot or will not, completely give
themselves to this simple program,
usually men and women who are constitutionally incapable of being honest with themselves.

- Alcoholics Anonymous, p. 58

Thought to Ponder
Sobriety is not a destination, but an everlasting journey.

Hi friends, Julie alcoholic.  As I celebrated 3 years recently, I reflected a lot.  And one thing that hit me the most was that the key to my recovery this time, because relapse is unfortunately part of my story, was willingness and honesty.  The two go hand in hand for me.  If you are new or relatively new, I hope you find what I found in this program.  Hope for my drinking and thinking problem and I am eternally grateful to all of you for showing me the way to freedom and serenity.  Thank you for letting me share.
