My apologies for the late delivery of your Daily Thought today.  It seems we had a glitch
on our server and the scheduler did not send when it should have.

Affirmative Action
Like all the remaining Steps, Step Three calls for affirmative action,
for it is only by action that we can cut away the self-will which has
always blocked the entry of God—or, if you like, a Higher Power—into
our lives. Faith, to be sure, is necessary, but faith alone can avail nothing.
We can have faith, yet keep God out of our lives.

Thought to Ponder
Willpower ... our will-ingness to use a Higher Power.

I'm Tom and I'm a drunk. I cant .. God can .. and I think I'll let him. In the end of my drinking days the only thing I wanted was oblivion. It was my only friend, only place I wanted to be. That is the power of alcohol. Jim, Jack and Johnny had been my higher power for many years. Only they quit working. So I had no choice but to seek out a new higher power. And I thank my HP for relieving me from that hell. AA gave me a way to find the HP that I had wanted so badly, and I thank all of you for showing how to connect with that power.
