Bill and I am an alcoholic. Like others, I had many ideas of what sobriety was and none of them were good. Sobriety was the last stop, but that dreary ole last stop has turned out very well. I had an experience in that detox room many moons ago, that is still opening my eyes to what God and this world is all about. And it has led to staying sober, alcohol free trying to figure out what reality is and how do you really do God's will. I had to get on board with the process of things. And be willing to go where ever the ride goes. It turns out that Sobriety is everything we talk about in these meetings and it has much to do with the grace I received in that detox room long ago. I keep moving in a direction of love and peace, acceptance, patience, tolerance, and understanding of others. Progress and not perfection. A very nice ride that is still opening up new vistas. Thanks for listening everyone, enjoy the ride.
