Our Choice
When we became alcoholics, crushed by a self-imposed crisis
we could not postpone or evade, we had to fearlessly face the
proposition that either God is everything or else He is nothing.
God either is, or He isn’t. What was our choice to be?

Darrell, alcoholic. I tried to define God, for the God I grew up with wasn't all that nice. Lots of childhood memories and I didn't understand God at all. So I have to keep it simple. In the chapter to the Agnostic it says .. God either is or He isn't. And I know He is for I have seen evidence of God in my life and doing for me what I cannot do for myself. So when talking to God, and doing my prayers, my faith grows and my confusion lifts. But it's a daily process for I can mess up a pot of boiling water. So I make that decision and turn my will over to the care of God and I am sober today. As I work the steps I know more will be revealed. Thanks for letting me share.
