Prayer
In A.A. we have found that the actual good results of prayer are
beyond question. They are matters of knowledge and experience.
All those who have persisted have found strength not ordinarily
their own. They have found wisdom beyond their usual capability.
And they have increasingly found a peace of mind which can stand
firm in the face of difficult circumstances.

Thought to Ponder
Today I pray over the things that I used to drink over.

My name is Tom and I'm an alcoholic. I can still hear my 1st sponsor saying, "Why don't you say a prayer ... what have you got to lose?" He would say that all the time. Whenever I had any sort of a problem big or small his answer was always the same, "Ask God!" Gradually I got the message. He didn't have the answer I needed, God did. Funny how that went full circle with me. I wouldn't even be here if it wasn't for that little prayer the day after my last drink. "God I can't handle it .. You gotta help me." And as a result of that little prayer, I didn't die that day. So, say a prayer ... what have you got to lose? Thank you for being here for me.
