Step Two
"Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity."
"Sanity" is defined as "soundness of mind." Yet no alcoholic, soberly analyzing
his destructive behavior, whether the destruction fell on the dining-room furniture
or his own moral fiber, can claim "soundness of mind" for himself. Therefore,
Step Two is the rallying point for all of us.

Hi all, Garth, alky. I am quite sure I would not be here had I continued on the drinking road. And the amazing thing for me looking back is I actually thought I was normal. I could always point the finger at someone who really had a drinking problem. The disease is the one that tells you you do not have it. Denial was my watchword. Thank GOD for this program that has saved countless lives. We are all miracles.
