Easier, Softer Way
At some of these we balked. We thought we could find an easier, softer way.
But we could not. With all the earnestness at our command, we beg of you to
be fearless and thorough from the very start. Some of us have tried to hold on
to our old ideas and the result was nil until we let go absolutely.

Hope, alkie! I am always surprised that I am not unique. Kinda kills my drama..ha! I noticed right away, thank God, that the parts I didn't like or resisted were the parts I needed most. And I figure there's a little monkey in my mind defending the old me. I gotta see past the monkey! The easy parts were just a good start, as I was even told. [laugh] "Good start!" That used to annoy me until I caught myself saying it to others. I got a card, back then. A get well card from a pal. It said, get well but don't change you. Funny, earlier on I would have said, "yeah." But by then I knew I wanted to change me. I had to. I had been wrong about so much, maybe still am! [laugh] Thank you dears.
