Acceptance
Nothing, absolutely nothing, happens in God’s world by
mistake. Until I could accept my alcoholism, I could not
stay sober; unless I accept life completely on life’s terms,
I cannot be happy. I need to concentrate not so much on
what needs to be changed in the world as on what needs
to be changed in me and in my attitudes.
- Alcoholics Anonymous, (Acceptance Was The Answer) p. 417
Thought to Ponder
Reliance on God enables me to match calamity with serenity.

Pammy, and I have alcoholism. For me, whether I accept things that I cannot change will not alter the event as it unfolds. I found that my attitude can lessen the fall by looking for the things that can be salvaged. And when I do that I become thankful. If I can keep it that thankful then what I have can flourish and that's all I need to do. Thank you.
