AA Thought for the Day

We finally saw that faith in some kind of God was a part of our make-up,
just as much as the feeling we have for a friend. Sometimes we had to
search fearlessly, but He was there. He was as much a fact as we were.
We found the Great Reality deep down within us. In the last analysis it is
only there that He may be found. It was so with us.

Thought to Ponder
The power within me is far greater than any fear before me.

Mark, very grateful real recovered alcoholic. Today I am reminded of a speaker tape I listened to some weeks ago. In that tape, he tells about 3 little fish in the ocean. They meet a big fish. The big one says, "Lovely water today, right?" And he leaves. One of the little ones asks the other; "Any idea what water is?" He doesn't know. He asks the other one. And that one says too, "Water? No clue, no." So they swim around for ages, trying to find out what water is. Swimming around in it. Without knowing. That to me is an amazing story to show me, that I have been looking for so long, for something I already had, without knowing. The speaker says right after this, "I AM, you ARE, God IS." I absolutely love that powerful short statement. I am already ok. God always is. I just tend to overlook it. Thank You [God], principles of spiritual action, you all.
