First Five Proposals
Returning home we find a place where we can be quiet for an hour,
carefully reviewing what we have done. We thank God from the bottom
of our heart that we know Him better. Taking this book down from our
shelf we turn to the page which contains the twelve steps. Carefully
reading the first five proposals we ask if we have omitted anything, for
we are building an arch through which we shall walk a free man at last.

Roxie, grateful recovered alcoholic by God's grace. I have done a few 5th steps. There's always that one thing you don't want to say out loud. But then I'm reminded I may not get over drinking or may drink again. How willing do I want to be? I just recently did a very thorough 4th step. I really dug deep this time. Looked at my stage characters. What was the delusion driving the fear? I thought I had it all out with my sponsor. But when I went home for that hour to reflect, go over the first 5 proposals, first 5 steps, I saw more that I still found objectionable in talking to God. So I went back to my sponsor and shared more. Then I truly found that FREEDOM the book talks about. So do the work, get the results. Thank you.
