Thy Will, Not Mine
Every day is a day when we must carry the vision of God’s
will into all of our activities. "How can I best serve Thee—Thy
will (not mine) be done." These are thoughts which must go
with us constantly. We can exercise our will power along this
line all we wish. It is the proper use of the will.

Thought to Ponder
AA is not something we join; it's a way of life.

I'm Clair and I'm an alcoholic. When I was drinking and still now sometimes I can be strong willed, only I call it hard headed. My dad used to tell me that all the time so I guess it was true. Coming into the program and learning about all my defects and what I should do about them. Asking my Higher Power for help with removing them. I made many mistakes when I was active. So many I thought I could never hold my head up again or even be mildly happy. After working the steps with a sponsor, trying to keep a better connection to my God. And learning how to forgive others and asking my Higher Power for forgiveness, I began to see light at the end of the tunnel. Truly these steps have made me a better person. She is someone I didn't know for a long time. Each day I learn a little more and I am so grateful for those lessons how ever painful they may be. Yes, my self will could never hold me in check when it came to alcohol and drinking. But asking God for his help and grace has been the key to my recovery, I can't do this with out Him. Thanks family for listening.
