Simple Kit of Spiritual Tools
But we saw that it really worked in others, and we had come to believe in
the hopelessness and futility of life as we had been living it. When, therefore,
we were approached by those in whom the problem had been solved, there
was nothing left for us but to pick up the simple kit of spiritual tools laid at
our feet. We have found much of heaven and we have been rocketed into
a fourth dimension of existence of which we had not even dreamed.

Thought to Ponder
While it isn't always easy, if I keep it simple, it works.

Good morning. My name is Nora and I'm an alcoholic. Thank you all so much for being here and sharing. I learn so much from you. I'm just under 9 months sober. And my life has changed drastically for the better because of this program and all of you. I have spent my life in fear and anxiety and I was never able to feel calm or serene or peaceful. Drinking became my crutch to that - to feel somewhat at ease and I'd use it every time I could when I was feeling overwhelmed. Gradually my life fell apart and the drink stopped working for me. As I grow in this program and learn to trust in my Higher Power I have, for the first time, felt relief from anxiety and fear. I have been able breathe, open my heart and mind, ask for guidance and to be shown the way. A path where I can let go of my fear and ego that have kept me blind and numb. I am trying to keep it simple. I have a Sponsor. I am working/learning the steps. And I am SO GRATEFUL! I never imagined my life could be lived joyfully in sobriety. Again, I'm deeply grateful for all of you. Thank you.
