Any Length
If you have decided you want what we have and are willing to go
to any length to get it—then you are ready to take certain steps.
At some of these we balked. We thought we could find an easier,
softer way. But we could not. With all the earnestness at our command,
we beg of you to be fearless and thorough from the very start.

What have I been given today?
Am I willing to reach out and grasp it?

My name is Hope W, alkie! I just remembered, and thought over and over, I felt that too. My biggest obstacle was advice, accepting directions. I resented being told what to do. How childish! I had to step over that. Like I stepped out of my room and into an AA room. Stepped over all my blame too. It all started with accepting that God could help and would help if I just sought Him. That was what impelled me on. I persisted. I thought I was unique! Then I heard your stories and read the stories in the Big Book too. And I realized this was no coincidence. I was on to something real. Quite a humbling realization. I am so glad i bought the whole package as one old AA used to say. Bless us all, dears.
