All Resemblance Ended
He accepted the plan outlined in this book. One year later he called
to see me, and I experienced a very strange sensation. I knew the
man by name, and partly recognized his features, but there all
resemblance ended. . . I talked with him for some time, but was
not able to bring myself to feel that I had known him before.

I am Eddy and an alcoholic. When I came here, I was defeated and I knew it. I had avoided AA looking for a softer way where I could be a gentleman and drink. It took a lot of hard knocks to make that stop. AA was the only thing I'd ever seen work and I couldn't deny it was the only thing left to try. Fast forward to yesterday. I was driving and saw my old lead vocalist and waved. Guy didn't know who I was. When I read this as it was posted I realised what a blessing that actually is. I'm not who I was. God did what I could not and paved the way of AA so I had some firm footing on the narrow road. This program, for anyone willing, is the road that sets people free from alcohol and self. That in itself is the biggest blessing .... to be free of it and free to serve. Feeling a lot of gratitude and a lot of blessing. Thank you for letting me share.
