This Qualification
Even so, when making specific requests, it will be well to add
to each one of them this qualification: "…if it be Thy will." We
ask simply that throughout the day God place in us the best
understanding of His will that we can have for that day, and
that we be given the grace by which we may carry it out.

Susan, very grateful recovered alcoholic by Grace. Generally speaking, I no longer make specific requests any more. For me, its like self-willing Gods will even if I add on Thy Will be Done, not mine. When I get specific, I am setting up expectations which isn't wise for me. Fascinating, as I listened this morning. Among a few things going on in life recently, yesterday I found out that I won't be making work money for at least 2 months. I "should" have stayed up all night panicking, right? Slept like a baby. Actually, even better than most other nights recently. Seems like an odd reaction, doesn't it? I don't know what is going to happen and it turns out that's ok. It will all fall into place eventually. BB says Pause when agitated or doubtful and ask (pray) for the right thought or action. So I am in the wait and see stance currently and thats ok with me. What gifts we Receive when we come to trust and rely in God. Thanks all. Continued blessings.
