Humility
"Humbly asked Him to remove our shortcomings."
Without some degree of humility, no alcoholic can stay sober at all.
- Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions, p. 70
Thought to Ponder . . .
Learning is the very essence of humility; the two walk hand in hand.
AA-related 'Alconym' . . .
A R T = Always Remain Teachable.

My name is Hope, and I am an alcoholic. I am finding this again, as always, is a 'humility' deal for me. I remember that always more is revealed and it's never done, thank God! I particularly appreciate the little plateaus in my growth now. And instead of being 'discouraged,' maybe by practice I can relax into God's timing maybe more will be revealed. The next important word in the Steps for me is "humbly." That next phase of my development is always to humbly ask God. Not-a-saint progressing!
