Anger
If we were to live, we had to be free of anger.
The grouch and the brainstorm were not for us.
They may be the dubious luxury of normal men, but for alcoholics these things are poison.
- Alcoholics Anonymous, p. 66
Thought to Ponder . . .
Anger rules nothing except itself.
AA-related 'Alconym' . . .
A A = Avoid Anger.

I'm Donna, an alcoholic. Just about three years ago, I came here an angry drunk -- remember me? I didn't want to hear anything from you at all. But in three years I listened, I reviewed, I turned over. Things that kept me stuck in anger were only my own anger itself. The rest of the world was just spinning like it always does, and I had no control over people, places and things. Imagine that! When I came to understanding that after clearing my head from booze, it became so obvious. It happened when I finally let all my AA friends take me into their arms. If I don't understand that, I will be forever angry and looking for any kind of relief. But I do understand it now. I do what I can each day and the pressure is off. I love waking every day. Sober, I can keep my days straight and when there is a blip, I'm prepared. My life doesn't need to be out of control anymore. I don't have to be angry and myself or anyone else. I'm three months sober again, and I'm just thrilled about that. I love having you folks to be here for me. Thank you.
