Miracles
How can they rise out of such misery, bad repute and hopelessness?
The practical answer is that since these things have happened among us, they can happen with you.
Should you wish them above all else, and be willing to make use of our experience,
we are sure they will come.
The age of miracles is still with us. Our own recovery proves that!

I'm Charlie J., and I have Alcoholism. A miracle? I didn't get what I surely deserved! I didn't die drunk. I found Alcoholics Anonymous and was given a choice. One that could mean the difference between life and death for me. No brag, just the real gift of a Higher Power and AA's simple program. I have been transformed. My obsession to drink myself to death has been removed. I now know the value of this life, and I live a life with a purpose today. I actually have something of value to offer others and not just my fellow AA'ers. I can be loved and today, I can give love. To the best of my ability, I have tried to set the past wrongs right. I have a clear conscience. To some, these may mean nothing and that's fine. For me, these are just a few of the gifts and/or miracles I have experienced so far in my recovery. Thank you.
