Faith
We finally saw that faith in some kind of God was a part of our make-up,
just as the feeling we have for a friend.
Sometimes we had to search fearlessly, but He was there.
He was as much a fact as we were.

- Alcoholics Anonymous, p. 55

Thought to Ponder . . .
People of faith have a logical idea of what life is all about.

I'm Di, a very blessed alcoholic, and grateful today.  When I go to the doctor for the flu or something, I'm given antibiotics.  I'm not directed to take them all in one day.  I am to take them a few times a day over a period of time.  That's how I heal, it builds up in my system.  I am an alcoholic; I have a spiritual malady.  I am spiritually sick.  Faith plays a huge role in my recovery.  I cannot just have faith one day and everything is all better, no.  Every day, throughout the day, I take another teaspoon, through prayer.  I believe my God can and will heal me.  So when I wake up every morning, I thank God right away for keeping me sober for the day, because it is simply DONE when I follow His prescription.  That's my faith in Him, He is my Great Physician.  Meetings, sponsor, Big Book, Fellowship .. these are the gifts that help tremendously.  But for me, it has to start with my relationship with my Creator.  And the coolest part is that I'm allowed to take as many teaspoons as I want!  There is no "too much" faith, not if I want what you folks have.  Thanks so much for listening.
