Freedom from Bondage
"God, I offer myself to thee -- to build with me and to do with me as Thou wilt.
Relieve me of the bondage of self, that I may better do Thy will."

- Alcoholics Anonymous, p. 63

Thought to Ponder . . .
Prayer is neither black magic nor is it a form of demand note.  Prayer is a relationship.

AA-related 'Alconym' . . .
P U S H = Pray Until Something Happens.

I'm, Eric, an alcoholic.  I was chained by the mental and physical demands alcohol put on me.  I saw, said, felt, and went places never thinkable sober.  I first knew this long before I actually got here, but this alkie had to be 100% beaten in every aspect of my life before I could admit complete defeat and surrender.  In the end it was drink and die or ask for help.  The life I have been outgrowing is making room for even more blessings.  It takes me working the Steps, trusting God's will and trying my best.  Easy?  Hell no!  But I am free of the bondage of alcohol.  That's what I ask for every morning.  Peace and blessings to all.  Thank you.
