Aloneness
There is no more aloneness, with that awful ache, so deep in the heart of every alcoholic
that nothing, before, could ever reach it. That ache is gone and never need return again.
Now there is a sense of belonging, of being wanted and needed and loved.

Thought to Ponder . . .

Morning friends, Susan here, very grateful recovered alcoholic, by God’s grace. When I first got here, I discovered I was not alone in the sense that there are actually other alcoholics out there in the world. Go figure! Not sure it had really registered. And guess what, they all had similar problems to me. And so in that sense, I was no longer alone. However, they don't keep me sober. Today, thanks to this program, I know where the strength to stay sober comes from...my Higher Power of choice, God. So in working with others, if they call me about a problem I don't give much leeway. The last thing I want is for them is to be dependent on me. That might kill 'em. So very quickly, I say...have you prayed about it yet? That is where they will get their strength from too. A Power Greater than Self. And with that I am NEVER alone. Thanks for listening. Blessings!
