Growth
When we saw others solve their problems by a simple reliance upon the Spirit of the Universe,
we had to stop doubting the power of God.
Our ideas did not work. But the God idea did.

Good morning friends, Susan here, a very grateful recovered alcoholic, by the Grace of God. The easy way for me is to note when I do the opposite of what I used to do...that generally means I am on a better track. The more "book-worthy" way is to check out page 52 in the Big Book on manageability, to see how I am doing there, particularly in earlier sobriety. And after having done the Steps, one can add in asking if the 9th and 10th Step promises are coming true for me (page 83 to 85). I find asking myself these questions help me sort out just how far I am coming along. Awareness is also key...taking note of how I am "feeling" on the inside. That's it for now, thanks. Blessings to all.
