Miracles
Then the miracle happened—to me!  It isn’t always so sudden with everyone. . .
The walls crumpled—and the light streamed in.  I wasn’t trapped.  I wasn’t helpless.
I was free.
- Alcoholics Anonymous, p. 206

Thought to Ponder . . .
Don't give up before the miracle happens.

I'm Garth, an alcoholic.  If you did not drink this morning you are already a miracle.  Because that is what alcoholics do, no matter what the consequences unless they find a way out.  And AA is one of those ways to a much better life.  Early on in the program, I came very close to taking a drink several times.  Many newcomers do succumb to the craving although many do make it back, many don't.  So one of the things I was told, and did, was to attend 90 meetings in 90 days.  I didn't count but I actually did about 120.  And those meetings saved my butt.  They helped me to not pick up while I was starting to come out of a fog and be able to work the Steps.  When I first came in, I worked the first 3 Steps, but that was all I was capable of.  And sometimes not even capable of those.  So, if you are new here, please give the miracle TIME!  It has worked for thousands and it can work for you, too.  Thanks.
