Curious

Doubtless you are curious to discover how and why, in the face of expert opinion to the
contrary, we have recovered from a hopeless condition of mind and body. If you are an
alcoholic who wants to get over it, you may already be asking—“What do I have to do?"

Thought to Ponder . . .
What have I been given today?  Am I willing to reach out and grasp it?

Good morning everyone, my name is Michael and I am an alcoholic.  I was so scared when I came in and I couldn't read.  But a group of men, old timers, took me through the first three steps until I cleared my mind.  I guess the point I am making is its not rocket science.  After the desperation is gone I tend to "think" and Lord that gets me in trouble.  I think I did it all.  I had much pride in my 16 years time before I relapsed.  Pride goeth before the fall.  I picked up and was left with nothing, not even my precious time.  But my Higher Power was so excited I came back.  This time around I let the steps sink into my heart, and carefully took each one as thoroughly as I could.  My life is so much different now.  I lost the compulsion to drink.  Doors, so many doors opened, my head spins.  If I take it a day at time, serve others, I stand a chance today.  Thank you.
