Pause

In thinking about our day we may face indecision. We may not be able to determine
which course to take. Here we ask God for inspiration, an intuitive thought or a
decision. We relax and take it easy. We don’t struggle.

I'm Garth alky.  When God directed me into these rooms, I was overwhelmed by life, my choices, my consequences.  It was and is still easy to get overwhelmed if I forget to follow a few simple principles.  Like, doing the next right thing, saying stop and asking for guidance.  Like not worrying about what I can do nothing about anyway.  As far as the program goes, working the steps one at a time and in order sounds simple, but it is not always, of course.  This is a simple program if you follow the suggestions.  If not, the committee takes over in your head and you basically can't do anything productive.  So pause, ask for help from another and God.  A simple action I learned from Hope is to stretch my arms high to the sky.  On tiptoes, I wiggle my fingers and say aloud, "I surrender."  No matter what.  The sky is not falling!
