Service
Nor is this the only kind of Twelfth Step work.  We sit in A.A. meetings and listen,
not only to receive something ourselves, but to give the reassurance and support which
our presence can bring.  If our turn comes to speak at a meeting, we again try to carry
A.A.'s message.  Whether our audience is one or many, it is still Twelfth Step work.

I'm Pammy and I have alcoholism.  The biggest part of service for me is being the best example I can be to others.  To give them the same hope that was shown to me.  I go to AA not to share my problems or issues because they serve no purpose to anyone, most of all myself.  I come here sharing the experience that I gained by working the steps and I get tons of encouragement.  Sympathy when I share issues can only cripple me.  And now that I've got legs again I prefer to walk instead of crawl.  Thank you.
