A Prayer
Just saying it over and over will often enable us to clear a channel
choked up with anger, fear, frustration, or misunderstanding, and
permit us to return to the surest help of all—our search for God’s
will, not our own, in the moment of stress.
- Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions, (Step Eleven) p. 103
Thought to Ponder

Hi, I am Tracy and I am an alcoholic. Talk about a foot stomping fit, that was me the other day. I had a meeting with my sponsor that got interrupted by a person that really gets under my skin. I went up and down the hallway cussing. After a few minutes of that I started the serenity prayer and asked myself, "Is it worth my sanity?" And it wasn't. I stayed angry my first 2 years of sobriety and it sucked. Almost as bad as the drinking itself. I don't get that way too often anymore and I don't stay there when I do. This is a great program! Thank you all very much.
