A Genuine Reliance
As long as we placed self-reliance first, a genuine reliance upon
a Higher Power was out of the question. That basic ingredient
of all humility, a desire to seek and do God's will, was missing.

Hi AA family. Kim, alcoholic. I struggle with this every single day. Going back and forth, until I reconnect with God. Trying to do it on my own was my old M.O. and a hard habit to break. Thankful for the surrender that gets me out of my own head and keeps me knowing that I am not in control of the outcome no matter how much I try. Giving it over to God is the only way for me to stay sober, live life happily, find peace. Thank you for listening. God bless!
