Remove Our Fear
The verdict of the ages is that faith means courage. All men of faith
have courage. They trust their God. We never apologize for God.
Instead we let Him demonstrate, through us, what He can do. We
ask Him to remove our fear and direct our attention to what He
would have us be. At once, we commence to outgrow fear.

- Alcoholics Anonymous, (How It Works) p. 68

Thought to Ponder
Fear is not an admission of weakness;
fear is an opportunity for courage.

Hello everyone. I am an alky and the problem is Tom. A great man once said, "the only thing we have to fear is fear itself." Before I got here I could list a lot of other things. I was afraid of my own shadow. But, the big book says to list our fears on paper and asks why we had them. Wasn't it because we relied on ourselves and not God? Self-reliance was good but it didn't take us far enough. There are some things that still scare me. But it doesn't petrify me like it used to. Like was said earlier, Courage isn't the absence of fear but the willingness to walk through it. With God's help. He's there to catch you If you let him. Thanks for letting me share.
