Hi everyone. Dennis, grateful alcoholic. The miracle that we all represent is staggering. To the outside world, the alcoholic who recovers is an incredible story of struggle, despair, strength and perseverance. It's easy to see how any outside influence might want to heap accolades onto any one of us. It's easy to see how this alcoholic's EGO could jump on that bandwagon and ride the wave. And it's easy to see how that wave would lead to this alcoholic's destruction in the end. But, by God's Grace, it is the Steps and this Tradition that give us one important factor that was lacking before coming to these Hallowed Halls. Humility. Keep our focus on our Primary Purpose, sobriety and the change in perception that allows us to live a vibrant life if we practice what our Big Blue Book teaches us. That is the key. So this alcoholic is extremely grateful for many things. And this Tradition is definitely one of them that keeps me grounded. Simple, but not easy. Thank you all so much for all you do for me and each other. God Bless you all.
