Serenity
We are going to know a new freedom and a new happiness.
We will not regret the past nor wish to shut the door on it. We
will comprehend the word serenity and we will know peace.

Thought to Ponder
We cannot find peace by avoiding life.

Hi everyone. Dennis, grateful alcoholic. A palpable serenity, what a beautiful way to say it. And as was said, I feel that each and every night here. Some nights more than others. But it is always there, watching over us like a warm blanket on a cold winter night. I have found that no matter what the day brings, no matter how "lifey" life can get, no matter what storm I go through, I come here and that serenity slowly seeps in. The stuggle slowly lessens. The fear slowly melts away. We shae that common solution, but we also share a common bond. A Spiritual connection. Maybe not of this world, for lack of a better term, on a different level. The level of the soul. We have traveled the dark road each individually, yet somehow connected. And that Spiritual connection that I have felt always, never fades and brings me back each and every night. What a gift I have been given by God! A second chance at life, a connection to Him and to all of you that I could never have imagined. A sobriety I could never be thankful enough for. I walked into this room seven years ago tomorrow and by the Grace of that Power greater than I could ever be, I have never looked back. God truly does use broken people like you and me to rescue broken people like you and me. Thank You God and all of you for all you do for me and each other. God Bless you all.
