Quit Playing God
He is the Father, and we are His children. Most good ideas are simple,
and this concept was the keystone of the new and triumphant arch
through which we passed to freedom. When we sincerely took such a
position, all sorts of remarkable things followed. We had a new Employer.
Being all powerful, He provided what we needed, if we kept close to Him
and performed His work well.

Thought to Ponder
We will suffer a great poverty until we know
that God lives in us and we can see Him there.

Christine here, grateful alcoholic. When I was an active alkie, I was imprisoned spiritually, physically and psychologically. My "god" was self – will, indulgence, ego, etc. My first "pre-step" was to get dry and physically somewhat well which I was fortunate enough to do in a hospital setting. But then I found the first key to unlock the prison door and that was God and letting him be my God. Then I needed the strength to open the heavy barred door. And direction on where to go from my cell I had grown accustomed to and go into the rest of the world. The how, what, where and when. The compass for me are the Steps and God, and it is an ongoing journey. It's so liberating to be in the fresh air with open fields and paths and other people to interact with. Scary…but exhilarating and with God as my leader I don't need to fear.
